My birthday party at the rink

On Sunday, it was birthday party. I had birthday party at the rink. My whole class came only James and Ethan didn't come. They were absent because they have fallen ill. I put on a sweet dress mum bought for me at Pumpkin Patch. I really love the dress. We roller skate around the rink.I can skate better this time and I'm really glad. Amber came too. At the end everyone left only Maddie was waiting for her mum to pick her up. I really enjoy the party.

Tell me why ?

Last Wednesday our class went to the Wanganui Regional museum as part of our class inquiry lesson. The title is called Tell me why? Awhina, the museum educator told two stories. The first story was called Henenakau's rope. The moral of the story is we are one whanau (family in Maori language). The characters were Maddie, Alex, James, Jessica and Ethan from my class. Awhina put cloaks on them.



The second story is called Battles of the Mountains. This story explains why Mount Taranaki is out in the west by itself, away from the other 4 mountains in North island. Caitlin, Finlay, Charlie, Ben and Liam played the role of the five mountains. Taranaki always looks back at Caitlin, who played Mount Pihanga. .

WIN WIN WIN !

The winter sport that I play is football. Last Saturday I played football at Wembley Park. We won 1-0 because Maddie scored a goal. It wasn't an ordinary game because Liam was the goal keeper instead of Ethan. In my team were Charlie, Ethan, Ben C , Maddie, Liam, Finlay, and Daniel. We  played against Churton Rockets. Liam got to be the player of the day. We have half time then we go the other way. Last time we had oranges but this time we had none. In Mr Crowhurst's games we didn't win and the other team won.

Saturday shopping spree

Today I went to Pumpkin Patch with my mum and dad in town. There are heaps of clothes and shoes on sales in the shop. Most of the items are below $20. My favorite one is the sneakers. You can wear the upper either up or down.It's main color is grey and it has pink roses. It also has a diamond stud on the side. My second favorite is the  bling-bling T-shirt. It has sequins on the front. My third favorite item is the shirt with pink roses and black stripes. I'm going to wear that shirt for my birthday party and everyone will like it. The sneakers that I'm wearing are cool. 

Dorothy the dinosaur show

Today Mum and I went to the Opera House in town to watch Dorothy the dinosaur show. We met Amber and her mum there.It was really windy and cloudy this morning. I wore two jackets one outside and the other inside.I had  Dorothy the dinosaur T-shirt on and long pants. There were a lot of things on sales at the show. I couldn't decide what to buy. Finally I bought the cap like the one I'm holding in my hand. It has Dorothy the dinosaur on it. She is my favorite because I'm also called Dorothy. I've got a luggage that has Dorothy the dinosaur on it too.

The show started at 10am and there were many kids. John the chef was really silly. Captain Feathersword did a wonderful handstand so did Dorothy the dinosaur. They sang a song in Japanese and it was about spring time. When John the chef said this I still can't hear you everyone shouted back at him loudly, Dorothy the dinosaur. They did a dress up. Wags the dog had to help Captain Feathersword . I feel really happy watching the show. Unfortunately members of the wiggles, Sam, Murray, Jeff, and Anthony did not turn up in today show. I hope to see them next time.

My first ski field experience

On last Sunday we went to the Turoa ski field for a holiday. Chloe, Amber and their families went with us. Turoa ski field is near a town called Ohakune.We went there for tea and also meet up with Chloe and her family. After which we went up to the top of the mountain.

We had to put our warm clothes on first in the car. I had a pair of gloves from Kathmandu, and a pair of snow pants, and a beanie, and sunglasses. We found a place that we can play in . We slide down the snowy slope. I felt excited because it was my first experience sliding in the snow. It was windy and it rained. It was too cold for me and my toes hurt.

We went back down the mountain and checked in to the Chalet at Cordyline. Mum found the key to the door under the rubbish bin. We divided the rooms among ourselves. There was one for our family one for Amber's family and the last one for Chloe's family. We ate steamboat for dinner. I ate a lot of  food. We went to bed. Chloe and I shared a sofa bed in the living room. It was fun like a sleepover.

On Monday we went back up the mountain for another go at the ski field. It was sunny and hot. We slide down the snowy slope again and again. I got snow in my gloves many times and it was cold.

I really enjoy the trip I still want to go back up there again next winter.
